(One of the most moving vocalists I know. In addition to writing and performing her own material, she also records extraordinarily sensitive interpretations of other artists’ songs. Some of her choices are quite unexpected, while some of them are standards by now, though I promise you her version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is every bit as necessary as Jeff Buckley’s.
