Ten Favorite Film Trilogies

(These are in order of personal preference, and vaguely inspired by this Empire list. I’ve included a few trilogies with one film that’s weaker than the other two, but no trilogies with outright bad installments. The Godfather: Part III isn’t a masterpiece, for instance, but it’s still very good, so the trilogy is in, though lower than it would be if all three films were equally accomplished; on the other hand, The Dark Knight Rises is tuh-errible, so the trilogy is out.)
