Ten Favorite Depeche Mode Songs

(For me, Depeche Mode’s three-album stretch from 1986 to 1990 represents them at their best. I could easily have gathered my top ten out of the nine tracks from Violator plus one, or any ten of the tracks from Black Celebration, or any ten of the tracks from Music for the Masses. I’ve tried, though, to distribute my choices a little more evenly. Here they are, in order of preference.)
