A Dozen Favorite Muppet Songs
(This one is for Matt Baker, the biggest Muppet fan I know. I’m including all of the Muppet properties here—which is to say The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock, plus the movies. [Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas counts, too, though none of the songs from it make my list.] Most of my choices are Muppet originals, though a few of them predate the shows but were memorably enough performed by Jim Henson and the rest of the puppeteers that I’d argue the Muppets have taken ownership of them. I’ve arranged them in order of preference.)
